After studying Product Design for 5 years, Matthew realised that his chances of becoming head of design at Ferrari were slim. So, like so many, he was introduced to recruitment by a good friend. Now with 20 years’ experience in tech recruitment, Matthew has built recruitment teams from scratch, managed an office of 25 tech recruiters and has been fortunate enough to see the recruitment sector transforming into a ‘proper’ profession built on exceptional reputations.

Anyone who’s worked with Matthew will know he’s authentic, passionate about recruitment and operates with integrity and more enthusiasm than most. After recently spending 1.5 years as the business development manager for one of Ireland’s leading Cloud, BI/Analytics and Managed Service consultancy's (and a great deal of learning along the way) the call back to recruitment was too much for him to ignore and Talentspot was created.

Originally hailing from Kent in the UK, Matthew’s called Ireland home for eight years. Out of work he’s kept busy by his 2 children and can sometimes be found on his mountain bike in the Wicklow and Dublin mountains. With the Lycra safely left at home, you may have also spotted him at the good User Group Meetups in Dublin.
