Senior UI/UX Interaction Designer - Contract

Our customer is seeking a Senior UI/UX Interaction Designer to join their Enterprise Software Development Team located in Dublin city centre. The Senior Designer will be responsible for developing design solutions in an Agile based Development Team.

Working closely with Business and Development partners, the designer will define the UX across a range of existing and new enterprise products. You will be expected to drive efforts to understand the business goals, the product and its vision, the end-users' expectations and technical constraints.

In addition to new applications, the Designer will drive efforts to continually improve the usability and effectiveness of existing solutions. 

Working in an iterative environment, the UX Team develops solutions from concepts, wireframes, visual design, prototypes. The Team engages with users throughout the process to validate designs, and with development, partners to ensure users and business expectations are delivered.

The UI/UX Designer will be part of a talented UI/UX team of Visual and Interaction Designers and UI Developers, who share responsibility for improving the Software Design Process and maintaining a consistent user experience across our emerging suite of cutting-edge applications.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• As part of a SCRUM Team, help to define interactive systems to support business goals and meet user expectations
• Design for Web, Mobile, and Tablet
• Work with Development to rapidly develop iterative mock-ups and prototypes of designs
• Generate user interaction models, information architecture, wireframes and Experience Maps
• Drive reviews of mock-ups, prototypes, existing interfaces and agree on updated designs with Key Stakeholders

Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in a design-related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• 5+ years experience working as a UI/UX Designer in an Enterprise Software Development environment across Web, Mobile and Tablet
• 2+ years experience working within an Agile Development environment
• Experience in various UX techniques such as requirements gathering and understanding, qualitative research methods, personas, user journeys, wireframing, task analysis, sketching, prototyping, usability testing, etc.
• Good understanding of Web 2.0 Programming (HTML, CSS, Javascript etc)
• Experience working with a global user base
• Ability to work independently and with a group of peers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
