What you’ll be doing...

We have partnered with a fast-growing Fortune 100 Technology Company, that is leading the way in their respective markets, headquartered in Dublin. They’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with a deep knowledge of Active Directory to join their team.

Day to day

• Deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of applications.
• Supporting a complex AD infrastructure of 12 – 14 domains with interconnected trusts.
• Working on a project to migrate from on-prem to the cloud. You will be involved in designing the tooling in the cloud for that project.
• Monitoring performance, optimisation, troubleshooting, scheduling upgrades, patching, and collaborating with stakeholders.
• On-call support. Outages are rare so this would likely occur a handful of times per year.  
• Ensuring projects and goals are delivered to timelines.
• Maintenance of system documentation.
• Designing and maintaining IAM security policies within AWS.

Experienced required:

• 1 – 1.5 + years’ experience administering and managing complex Active Directory environments.
• Experience working in a Windows OS environment.
• Troubleshooting experience on all aspects of the Networking Stack.
• Experience of working in an operating system agnostic infrastructure.
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Experience with trusts and replication. Experience with interconnected trusts is highly desirable.   

Desired Experience (Not Essential):

• Amazon Web Service Technologies, Sysops and DevOps.
• Deployment systems using Octopus, JIRA, GIT.
• Opsworks/Chef.
• VPC and Route53 design and deployment within AWS knowledge.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Python or BASH.
• Experience with Ansible playbook.
