Build and Release Engineer - Dublin - Contract

Talentspot has partnered with a market-leading, global end-user to search for a Contract Build and Release Engineer.

Are you someone who is enthusiastic about scripting solutions and testing the deployment of software into production? Can you support developers in many test environments to facilitate better development processes?

As a member of the Build and Release Team, you will join our cutomer in helping to release high-quality software to production every 2 weeks. You will be responsible for ad-hoc deployments and ensuring the test environments always remain stable. You will collaborate heavily with developers and build quality into our deployment and engineering processes.

Job Description and Role Responsibilities

• Ability to learn a new build deploy process.
• Support deployments of products into development and production environments using our build release tooling
• Automate deployments into non-prod environments
• Scripting and tooling of build and release processes to reduce manual effort
• Troubleshooting AWS based environments to ensure the full functionality of the environment
• Configuring and building new servers in AWS
• Deployment of software suites onto servers in a fast-paced environment with a quick turnaround time expected.

Skills & Experience Required

• 1 - 2+ years of experience in a build and/or release function
• Linux and Windows
• Scripting in PowerShell or Python 

Skills & Experience Desired

• Knowledge of AWS cloud computing
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban
