Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer
Dublin – Permanent

A global leader in sports governance and law-making, our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer to join its Technology team. In this crucial role, you will collaborate with the Head of Technology Operations and technology partners to plan, implement, and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with the organisation's evolving needs. Hybrid (Tues & Wed each week).

Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage and liaise with third-party providers, ensuring services operate optimally.
  • Maintain applications and server systems for availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop performance metrics and troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Oversee end-to-end responsibility for systems project delivery.
  • Create and maintain documentation in adherence to ITIL standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide IT solutions.
  • Lead or contribute to technical projects as required.
  • Mentor helpdesk for standard change activities.
  • Work as a technical authority to ensure secure Azure/AWS architecture.

Experience required:
 
  • 5 + years of experience in IT systems management.
  • Certifications: Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), VCP/VCAP, CCNA/CCNP, AWS Associate. AWS Experience would be ideal to complement exisiting skillsets on the team. 
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, including networking, security, and backup.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft InTune, SIEM solutions, VMware, storage, networking, and firewalls.
  • Proven track record in organisation-wide project deployment.
  • Change control management experience.
  • Exposure to ITIL environments, SaaS, systems architecture, and process improvement.
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
