Senior Commercial Analyst

As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you will be joining the sales and business development team of an ever-growing multinational digital tech company. You will have a key role in the team and will be responsible for delivering insights, analysis, projects, and recommendations to support the business development team in achieving its objectives which include: the international market development process, and the securing of new and existing partnership deals.

The role:

• Conduct in-depth commercial and market research. This will be used to inform the strategic priorities of the business development team.
• Undertake strategic and commercial analysis of potential opportunities, presenting your recommendations to senior stakeholders within the team
• Work with the BD team to identify and analyse potentially global opportunities.
• Forge strong internal relationships with teams across the company, identifying opportunities within the existing business.
• Preparation of materials such as tender docs, proposals, and presentations to assist in winning new business.
• Build up a knowledge base of insightful data and interpret this info before making concise recommendations about specific opportunities or trends in the industry.
• Analyse the historical performance of deals and understand how that might impact decision making for future opportunities.
• Lead key strategic projects.
• Establish, own, and maintain the relationship with key external partners and stakeholders.
• Build high-level profitability models with scenario analysis included helping assess the commercial structures available to them.
• Get familiar with all areas of the business so that you can engage with internal and external partners in an informed manner
• Some travel will be required given the global remit of the Business Development team.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and events.

You:

• 3 years’ experience working as a Data Analyst in a commercially focused role.
• Proficient working with datasets and has good analytical fundamentals
• Proven experience in spotting trends in large data sets and then converting the data into a clear and concise summary for a non-analyst audience
• Strong numeracy and excel skills
• Comfortable and experienced in working independently and taking responsibility for delivering projects under tight timeframes
• Commercially savvy
• Comfortable working within an ever-changing, high paced environment
• Manage third party relationships
• Ability to prioritise, organise and multi-task
• Willingness to travel to conferences and client meetings.
• It is important that you have an interest in international markets and understand their macro-economic context, competitors, local regulations and how these impact business and growth opportunities.
